5.
Adjust push rod (Figure 5, Item 2) until slight drag is felt on feeler gage.
6.
Remove feeler gage and tighten push rod locknut (Figure 5, Item 1).

7.
Recheck the clearance and repeat procedure on remaining valves.
8.
Start engine and run for 15 minutes (TM 55-1925-205-10).
9.
Shut down engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
WARNING
Engine and exhaust systems will be hot. Use caution working around these components.
Failure to comply may result in personnel injury.
10.
Ensure engine is cool to touch.
11.
Recheck valve clearance to verify that it has not changed. Re-adjust if necessary.
