WARNING
Compound may cause irritation to eyes or skin. In case compound comes in contact with
eyes or skin, immediately flush eyes with water, wash skin with soap and water. Wear
protective goggles, gloves, and clothing. Failure to comply may result in personnel injury
or death.
NOTE
No gaskets are used between the end plates and the blower housing therefore mating
surfaces should be perfectly flat, smooth and clean. Ensure that there is no sealant
protruding into the blower housing.
d.
Apply a light coat of sealing compound to the mating surfaces of both the blower housing (Figure 13,
Item 3) and the front end plate (Figure 13, Item 5).
e.
Position the front end plate (Figure 13, Item 5) over the front end of the blower housing (Figure 13,
Item 3) with the top of the end plate (Figure 13, Item 5) aligned with the top of the blower housing
(Figure 13, Item 3).
f.
Push or tap the front end plate (Figure 13, Item 5) all the way down against the blower housing
(Figure 13, Item 3), ensuring that the front end plate (Figure 13, Item 5) is lying flat against the
blower housing (Figure 13, Item 3).
NOTE
Do not use lock washers on fillister head screws.
g.
Insert two fillister head screws (Figure 14, Item 31) through the front end plate (Figure 14, Item 24)
and into the housing (Figure 14, Item 25).
h.
Using a torque wrench and screwdriver socket wrench set, torque fillister head screws (Figure 14, Item
34) to 60 - 120 in. lbs (7 - 14 Nm).
4.
Install blower rotors (Figure 14, Item 3 and Figure 14, Item 4) in the blower housing (Figure 14, Item 5).
