PERFORM ENGINE COMPRESSION TEST - Continued
WARNING
Engine and exhaust systems will be hot. Use caution working around these
components.
Do not permit fuel from the inlet manifold to leak over hot engine.
Fuel is flammable and should not be exposed to open flame. Always keep fire
extinguisher within easy reach when working with fuel.
Fuel is toxic and may cause irritation to the eyes, lungs, or skin. Always wear eye
and hand protection, and ensure that you are in a well ventilated area when
handling fuel.
Fuel is slippery and may cause falls. Mop up spills immediately.
Fuel is an environmental hazard. Accidental or intentional introduction of liquid
contaminants into the environment may result in a violation of state, federal, and
military regulations. Refer to local environmental office for information concerning
storage, use, and disposal of these liquids.
Failure to comply may result in personnel injury, death, and/or damage to equipment and
environment.

Remove fuel pipes (Figure 1, Items 1 and 2) from injector (Figure 1, Item 4) and fuel connectors
(Figure 1, Item 3).

Remove fuel injector (Figure 1, Item 4) (WP 0091).

NOTE
Adapter and pressure gauge are installed in the same way the injector is installed.

Install adapter (Figure 2, Item 2) and pressure gauge (Figure 2, Item 1) from diesel engine diagnosis kit into
vacant injector orifice.
