Tag and disconnect two wires (Figure 2, Item 1) from lube oil temperature switch (Figure 2, Item 3).
WARNING
Accidental or intentional introduction of liquid contaminants into the environment
may result in a violation of state, federal, and military regulations. Refer to local
environmental office for information concerning storage, use, and disposal of
these liquids. Failure to comply may cause damage to environment and health
of personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of injury.
Fuel/solvent/oil is slippery and may cause falls. Wipe up spillage immediately with
rags. Dispose of materials in accordance with local hazardous waste disposal
procedures. Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death and/or
damage to equipment.
4.
Position a drain pan under lube oil temperature switch (Figure 2, Item 3).
5.
Unscrew lube oil temperature switch (Figure 2, Item 3) from oil return line tee fitting (Figure 2, Item 2).
Discard switch.

INSTALLATION
1.
Wrap new lube oil temperature switch (Figure 2, Item 3) threads with antiseizing tape.
2.
Install lube oil temperature switch (Figure 2, Item 3) into oil return line tee fitting (Figure 2, Item 2).
3.
Remove drain pan and dispose of contents in accordance with local procedures.
4.
Connect wires (Figure 2, Item 1) to lube oil temperature switch (Figure 2, Item 3).
5.
Remove tags from wires (Figure 2, Item 1).
6.
Remove LO/TO from A3 breaker switch. Refer to FM 4-01.502 for LO/TO procedure.
