WARNING
Accidental or intentional introduction of liquid contaminants into the environment
may result in a violation of state, federal, and military regulations. Refer to local
environmental office for information concerning storage, use, and disposal of
these liquids. Failure to comply may rcause damage to environment and health
of personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of injury.
Fuel/solvent/oil is slippery and may cause falls. Wipe up spillage immediately with
rags. Dispose of materials in accordance with local hazardous waste disposal
procedures. Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death and/or
damage to equipment.
7.
Remove drain pan and dispose of contents in accordance with local procedures.
END OF TASK
INSTALLATION
1.
Position bolt (Figure 9, Item 2) and washer (Figure 9, Item 5) in oil cooler mounting plate (Figure 9, Item 6).
2.
Install two mounting plates (Figure 9, Item 6) and three metal spacers (Figure 9, Item 4) on engine
block (Figure 9, Item 3).
3.
Install eight washers (Figure 9, Item 11) and bolts (Figure 9, Item 12) through oil cooler mounting plates
(Figure 9, Item 6) into engine block (Figure 9, Item 3).
4.
Tighten eight bolts (Figure 9, Item 12).
5.
Install key socket head screw (Figure 9, Item 9) and washer (Figure 9, Item 7) in forward oil cooler mounting
plate (Figure 9, Item 6).
6.
Tighten key socket head screw (Figure 9, Item 9).
7.
Install two studs (Figure 9, Item 1) in top center hole of both oil cooler mounting plates (Figure 9, Item 6).
8.
Install two new gaskets (Figure 9, Item 8) over previously installed studs (Figure 9, Item 1).
9.
Install oil cooler housing (Figure 9, Item 9) over previously installed studs (Figure 9, Item 1).
10.
Install washer (Figure 9, Item 5) and small mounting bolt (Figure 9, Item 2) through aft oil cooler mounting
plate (Figure 9, Item 6) into back of oil cooler housing (Figure 9, Item 10).
