WARNING
Spring is under compression load. Keep spring compressed when removing pin. Failure to
comply may result in personnel injury.

Using hammer and drift punch, drive spring seat retaining pin (Figure 1, Item 6) out of lube oil pressure
regulator valve body (Figure 1, Item 4).
3.
Remove spring seat (Figure 1, Item 2), spring (Figure 1, Item 1), and valve (Figure 1, Item 3) from lube oil
pressure regulator valve body (Figure 1, Item 4).
4.
Remove lube oil pressure regulator valve body (Figure 1, Item 4) from vise (Figure 1, Item 5).

CLEANING
WARNING
Cleaning compound may cause irritation to the eyes or skin. Use in well-ventilated areas.
Wear protective goggles and clothing. In case cleaning compound comes in contact with:
Eyes, flush immediately with water.
Skin, wash with soap and water.
Failure to comply may result in personnel injury.

Using cleaning compound, clean lube oil pressure regulator valve (Figure 1, Item 3).
WARNING
Do not exceed 40 PSI (280 kPa) when using compressed air for drying components.
Failure to comply may result in serious injury to personnel.
2.
Using compressed air, dry lube oil pressure regulator valve (Figure 1, Item 3).

INSPECTION
1.
Inspect lube oil pressure regulator valve body (Figure 1, Item 4) for nicks, dents, cracks, and deformation.
Replace defective part.
2.
Inspect for free movement of lube oil regulator valve (Figure 1, Item 3) inside regulator body. Replace
defective part.
