REMOVAL
NOTE
This task is typical for all oil hoses.
1.
Place a drain pan under the work area.
2.
Using a wrench, hold the elbow or fitting (Figure 1, Item 2).
WARNING
Fuel/solvent/oil is slippery and may cause falls. Wipe up spillage immediately with rags.
Dispose of materials in accordance with local hazardous waste disposal procedures.
Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death.
3.
Using another wrench, remove oil hose (Figure 1, Item 1) from elbow or fitting (Figure 1, Item 2).
4.
Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for other end of oil hose (Figure 1, Item 1).
5.
Remove any clamps securing oil hose (Figure 1, Item 1) to equipment.
6.
Remove oil hose (Figure 1, Item 1). Discard hose.
7.
Remove drain pan and dispose of its contents in accordance with local procedure.
END OF TASK
INSTALLATION
1.
Install new oil hose (Figure 1, Item 1).
2.
Secure oil hose (Figure 1, Item 1) to equipment with any clamps previously removed.
3.
Using a wrench, hold the elbow or fitting (Figure 1, Item 2).
4.
Using another wrench, tighten oil hose (Figure 1, Item 1) on elbow or fitting (Figure 1, Item 2).
5.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the other end of oil hose (Figure 1, Item 1).
