REPAIR
1.
Inspect cylinder block plate (Figure 1, Item 1) gasket surfaces for scratches, gouges, nicks, dents, cracks or
warping. Discard cylinder block plate if cracked or warped.
2.
Polish out any nicks, dents, scratches or gouges using 320 grit abrasive cloth. Discard cylinder block plate if
nicks, dents, scratches or gouges cannot be removed using 320 grit abrasive cloth.
3.
Support cylinder block plate (Figure 1, Item 1) on a flat surface.
WARNING
Keep hands and fingers away from arbor press moving parts. Failure to comply may result
in personnel injury.
4.
Using arbor press, remove threaded screw insert (Figure 1, Item 2) from front side of cylinder block plate
(Figure 1, Item 1).
5.
Using arbor press, install threaded screw insert (Figure 1, Item 2) into front side of cylinder block plate
(Figure 1, Item 1).
