CAUTION
Unscrew plastic air restriction gauge by hand. Do not use tools of any kind to remove air
restriction gauge. Failure to comply may result in damage to the air restriction gauge.
4.
Remove air restriction gauge (Figure 1, Item 4) from air inlet collector assembly (Figure 1, Item 5).
CAUTION
Never use motor oil, transmission fluid or diesel fuel to oil the filter element. Failure to
comply may result in damage to equipment.
5.
Coat air filter element (Figure 1, Item 2) with filter element oil from filter cleaning kit as follows:
a.
Apply a small amount of filter element oil, from air filter cleaning kit, across the top of each pleat.
b.
Allow filter element oil to wick into the air filter element (Figure 1, Item 2) for twenty minutes.
c.
Apply filter element oil to any white spots.
6.
Position air filter element (Figure 1, Item 2) on air inlet collector assembly (Figure 2, Item 5).
7.
Install plate (Figure 1, Item 1) and two top retainer springs (Figure 1, Item 3) on opposite sides of air filter
element to retain air filter element assembly (Figure 1, Item 2).
8.
Install bottom retainer spring (Figure 1, Item 6) to air inlet collector assembly.
9.
Install air restriction gauge (Figure 1, Item 4) to air inlet collector assembly (Figure 1, Item 5).

INSPECTION
1.
Inspect the exterior and interior of air filter element (Figure 2, Item 2) for excessive amounts of dirt or other
foreign particles that may have remained after cleaning. Reclean, if necessary. If stubborn, residual dirt
cannot be removed with follow-up cleaning, replace air filter element.
