REMOVAL
1.
Prior to removal, use a wiping rag to clean any dirt from cylinder (Figure 1, Item 2) and
valve (Figure 1, Item 4) to prevent contaminants from entering and clogging the valve (Figure 1, Item 4).
2.
Loosen two cylinder clamp nuts (Figure 1, Item 1).
3.
Remove cylinder (Figure 1, Item 2) by turning it counterclockwise.
4.
Remove valve gasket (Figure 1, Item 3) from valve (Figure 1, Item 4). Discard valve gasket.
END OF TASK
INSTALLATION
CAUTION
During the process of manufacturing the cylinder, there is a small amount of particulate
residue left in the cylinder. Allow cylinder contents to settle approximately 15 to 20 minutes
before system is operated. Failure to allow this settling may result in premature clogging of
the system and necessitates cleaning or replacement of the valve's metering orifice filter.
NOTE
Replacement cylinders have a new valve gasket inside the thread-protecting white cap on
cylinder.
1.
Install new valve gasket (Figure 1, Item 3) in valve (Figure 1, Item 4).
2.
Install new cylinder (Figure 1, Item 2) by turning clockwise into valve (Figure 1, Item 4) until the cylinder
contacts valve gasket (Figure 1, Item 3).
CAUTION
Do not over tighten the cylinder. Failure to comply may damage valve or gasket.
3.
Tighten cylinder (Figure 1, Item 2) an additional 1-1/2 turn.
4.
Tighten two cylinder clamp nuts (Figure 1, Item 1).
5.
Use torque wrench to torque clamp nuts (Figure 1, Item 1) to 45 in-lb (5 Nm).
