Flush heat exchanger core (Figure 2, Item 16) thoroughly with clean, hot water under pressure.

INSPECTION
1.
Remove two plugs (Figure 2, Items 2 and 8) and two electrodes (Figure 2, Item 9) from heat exchanger inlet
cover (Figure 2, Item 14) and outlet flange (Figure 2, Item 3).
NOTE
To determine the condition of a used electrode, strike it sharply against a hard surface. A
weakened electrode will break.
2.
Clean electrodes (Figure 2, Item 9) with a wire brush or, if worn excessively, replace with new electrodes.
3.
Install electrodes (Figure 2, Item 9) and plugs (Figure 2, Items 2 and 8).
