Inspect both spring plates (Figure 2, Item 2) for damage or distortion. Replace damaged parts.

ASSEMBLY
WARNING
Keep hands and fingers away from arbor press moving parts. Failure to comply may result
in personnel injury.
1.
Using arbor press, press bushings (Figure 5, Item 1) into gear (Figure 5, Item 2) until they are flush.
2.
Place blower support shaft (Figure 4, Item 1) into soft jaw vise caps of vise.
3.
Install drive gear (Figure 4, Item 3) and second thrust bearing (Figure 4, Item 2) on blower support shaft
(Figure 4, Item 1).
4.
Install thrust washer (Figure 4, Item 5) and thrust bearing (Figure 4, Item 4) on blower support shaft
(Figure 4, Item 1).
5.
Install tab lockwasher (Figure 3, Item 3) and nut (Figure 3, Item 2) on blower drive support
(Figure 3, Item 1).
6.
Using torque wrench, torque nut (Figure 3, Item 2) to 50 to 60 ft-lb (68 to 81 Nm).
7.
Measure clearance between thrust washer (Figure 4, Item 5) and thrust bearing (Figure 4, Item 4).
8.
Verify tolerance is between 0.0050 in. (0.0127 cm) and 0.010 in. (0.00254 cm).
9.
Bend tabs of tab lockwasher (Figure 3, Item 3) against nut (Figure 3, Item 2).
10.
Install three screws (Figure 2, Item 3) and two spring plates (Figure 2, Item 2) on auxiliary drive hub
(Figure 2, Item 1).
11.
Using torque wrench, torque screws (Figure 2, Item 3) to 420 to 480 in-lb (47 to 54 Nm).
12.
Install three screws (Figure 1, Item 3) and accessory drive hub (Figure 1, Item 2) on blower drive assembly
(Figure 1, Item 1).
13.
Using torque wrench, torque screws (Figure 1, Item 3) to 420 to 480 in-lb (47 to 54 Nm).
