TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER
SYMPTOM
Diesel engine will not turn over.
MALFUNCTION
Loose battery connections.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Check battery connections and tighten if necessary (TM 55-1925-205-23).
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Loose starter connections.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Check connections at starter and tighten if necessary (TM 55-1925-205-23).
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Low battery voltage.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Recharge battery if light load test indicates low or no voltage (TM 55-1925-205-23).
