ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT WILL NOT START - Continued
MALFUNCTION
Water in fuel/water separator.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Drain water via drain plug (TM 55-1925-205-23).
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Air in fuel system.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Prime fuel system (WP 0078).
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Fuel has drained back and/or leaked out of supply lines.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Replace leaking fuel lines as required (WP 0080).
2.
Use priming pump to restore fuel (WP 0078).
3.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Clogged or dirty fuel filter.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Replace fuel filter cartridge (WP 0079).
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Insufficient fuel supply.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Perform fuel flow test (WP 0023).
2.
Perform operational check of the diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
