TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
ENGINE STARTS WITH DIFFICULTY AND RUNS ROUGH
SYMPTOM
Diesel engine starts with difficulty and runs rough.
MALFUNCTION
Faulty injector timing.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Check injector timing. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
3.
Adjust injector rack control lever. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
4.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
5.
Perform engine tune-up. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
6.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Clogged or damaged injectors.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Clean clogged injectors. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
3.
Replace faulty injectors. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
