TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
ENGINE LACKS POWER
SYMPTOM
Diesel engine will not deliver rated power.
MALFUNCTION
Improper engine adjustments and gear train timing.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Check engine gear train timing. Replace gears as necessary. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Insufficient fuel.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Perform fuel flow test (WP 0023).
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Leaking injector spray tips.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Replace faulty injectors. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
