NOTE
The following procedure is typical for both port and starboard engines.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
NOT RECEIVING FUEL FROM TANK
SYMPTOM
The diesel engine is not receiving fuel from tank.
MALFUNCTION
Low fuel or no fuel in fuel tank.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Fill fuel tank with fuel (TM 55-1925-205-10).
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
The fuel shutoff valves are closed.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Open fuel shutoff valves (TM 55-1925-205-10).
2.
Perform operational check of diesel engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Fuel has drained back and/or leaked out of supply lines.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Replace fuel lines (WP 0080).
