ELECTRONIC GOVERNOR ACTUATOR STAYS AT MINIMUM POSITION WHEN POWER IS APPLIED -
Continued
MALFUNCTION
Binding electronic governor drive.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Repair electronic governor drive assembly. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
MALFUNCTION
Binding injector rack control lever.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Adjust injector rack control lever. Contact Maintenance Supervisor.
MALFUNCTION
Magnetic pick-up signal absent or too low.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Using a multimeter with an impedance of 5,000 ohms/volts or higher, measure Alternating
Current (AC) voltage across terminals 10 and 11. Voltage should be minimum 2.5 Volts
Alternating Current (VAC). If voltage is not 2.5 VAC, replace governor actuator (WP 0098) or
magnetic pick-up as necessary (WP 0100).
2.
Perform operational check of the electronic governor actuator (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Open or shorted pick-up coil.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Using a multimeter, measure the resistance of magnetic pick-up coil. It should be above
150 ohms. If it is not, there is an open or shorted coil. Replace magnetic pick-up (WP 0097).
2.
Perform operational check of electronic governor actuator (TM 55-1925-205-10).
3.
Using a multimeter, measure the resistance of each pin to the metal case of magnetic pick-up.
No continuity should be evident. If there is continuity to metal case, replace
magnetic pick-up (WP 0097).
4.
Perform operational check of the electronic governor actuator (TM 55-1925-205-10).
