ELECTRONIC GOVERNOR GOES TO FULL STROKE WHEN DC POWER IS APPLIED
AND ENGINE IS NOT OPERATING - Continued
MALFUNCTION
Improperly adjusted magnetic pick-up.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Adjust magnetic pick-up (WP 0100).
MALFUNCTION
Short between terminals 2 and 3.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Inspect and correct wiring as necessary (TM 55-1925-205-23).
2.
Perform operational check of the electronic governor actuator (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Fail safe circuit in controller is damaged or defective.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Replace controller (WP 0099).
2.
Perform operational check of the electronic governor actuator (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Continuity between a terminal and controller case.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
With DC power off, remove leads at electronic governor actuator. Using a multimeter, check
continuity of each terminal to case. There should be no continuity between any terminal and
controller case. If continuity is detected, replace the controller (WP 0099).
2.
Perform operational check of electronic governor actuator (TM 55-1925-205-10).
MALFUNCTION
Remote speed potentiometer wiring has open or shorted circuits.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Disconnect potentiometer leads from terminals 6, 7, and 9. Turn DC power on to the governor if
the electronic governor actuator is now normal. Proceed to TM 55-1925-205-23 to diagnose
cause of potentiometer wiring problem.
2.
Perform operational check of the electronic governor actuator (TM 55-1925-205-10).
