ADJUST INJECTOR RACK CONTROL LEVER - Continued
Tighten the adjusting screw (Figure 7, Item 1) an additional 1/8 turn.

Tighten lock nut (Figure 7, Item 2).

NOTE
The injector rack control lever adjustment must be verified with the throttle control arm in
the full fuel position.
Verify the adjustment of the injector rack control lever (Figure 7, Item 9) is not too loose.

Press downward and observe injector rack (Figure 5, Item 4) for downward rotation.

Release pressure and observe injector rack (Figure 5, Item 4) to see that it returned to its original

position.
If it does not return to the original position, loosen lock nut (Figure 7, Item 2).

Tighten adjusting screw (Figure 7, Item 1) slightly.
d.
Tighten lock nut (Figure 7, Item 2).
e.
Verify the adjustment of the injector rack control lever (Figure 7, Item 9) is not too tight.
23.
The first soldier returns the throttle control arm (Figure 4, Item 1) to idle position.
a.
The second soldier observes the injector control rack (Figure 5, Item 4).
b.
The first soldier slowly moves the throttle arm (Figure 4, Item 1) from idle to full fuel position.

If the injector control rack (Figure 5, Item 4) reaches the limit of its downward rotation before the

throttle arm (Figure 4, Item 1) is at full fuel position, the adjustment is too tight.
Loosen lock nut (Figure 7, Item 2).

Loosen adjusting screw (Figure 7, Item 1) slightly.
f.
Tighten lock nut (Figure 7, Item 2) and verify adjustment again. Repeat this step until adjustment
g.
is correct.
