INSTALLATION
1.
Install new gaskets (Figure 1, Item 10) on cylinder head (Figure 1, Item 11).
2.
Position new water outlet manifold (Figure 1, Item 3) on cylinder head (Figure 1, Item 11).
3.
Install eight cap screws (Figure 1, Item 8) and new lockwashers (Figure 1, Item 9) to secure water outlet
manifold (Figure 1, Item 3) to cylinder head (Figure 1, Item 11).
4.
Install clamp (Figure 1, Item 7) on seal (Figure 1, Item 6).
5.
Wrap both ends of elbow (Figure 1, Item 4) threads with antiseize tape.
6.
Install elbow (Figure 1, Item 4) on water outlet manifold (Figure 1, Item 3).
7.
Install hose (Figure 1, Item 5) on elbow (Figure 1, Item 4).
8.
Wrap both ends of elbow (Figure 1, Item 2) threads with antiseize tape.
9.
Install elbow (Figure 1, Item 2) on water outlet manifold (Figure 1, Item 3).
10.
Install hose (Figure 1, Item 1) on elbow (Figure 1, Item 2).
11.
Wrap plug (Figure 1, Item 12) threads with antiseize tape.
12.
Install plug (Figure 1, Item 12) on water outlet manifold (Figure 1, Item 3).
13.
Wrap nipple (Figure 1, Item 15) threads with antiseize tape.
14.
Install nipple (Figure 1, Item 15) on water outlet manifold (Figure 1, Item 3).
15.
Install clamp (Figure 1, Item 14) on hose (Figure 1, Item 13).
16.
Install hose (Figure 1, Item 13) on nipple (Figure 1, Item 15).
END OF TASK
FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE
1.
Install turbocharger (WP 0114).
2.
Install cylinder head poppet valve rocker arm covers (WP 0049).
3.
Install air inlet collector assembly (WP 0104).
4.
Install crankcase breather limiter assembly (WP 0106).
5.
Service cooling system (WP 0133).
6.
Install powered section operator's cab (TM 55-1925-205-10).
7.
Install powered section intake plenum assembly (TM 55-1925-205-10).
8.
Install powered section exhaust plenum assembly (TM 55-1925-205-23).
9.
Install SINCGARS antenna (TM 11-5820-890-10-8).
10.
Install main navigation mast (TM 55-1925-205-10).
11.
Start engine (TM 55-1925-205-10).
12.
Check water outlet manifold for leaks.
13.
Shut engine down (TM 55-1925-205-10).
