INSPECTION
1.
Inspect balance weight cover (Figure 2, Item 1) for cracks, dents or damage that may impair the operation of
the balance weight cover. If found, replace balance weight cover.
2.
Inspect oil seal mating surface (Figure 2, Item 3) of front balance weight cover (Figure 2, Item 1) for nicks,
scratches and burrs. If found, replace front balance weight cover.

WARNING
Accidental or intentional introduction of liquid contaminants into the environment
may result in a violation of state, federal, and military regulations. Refer to local
environmental office for information concerning storage, use, and disposal of

Fuel/solvent/oil is slippery and may cause falls. Wipe up spillage immediately with
rags. Dispose of materials in accordance with local hazardous waste disposal
procedures. Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death.
Oils and fluids are flammable and may cause irritation to the eyes or skin. Use in
well-ventilated areas and keep away from heat and open flame. Wear protective
goggles and clothing. In case oil or fluid comes in contact with:
Eyes, flush immediately with water.
Skin, wash with soap and water.
Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death.
1.
Lightly lubricate outer surface of new oil seal (Figure 2, Item 2) with lubricating oil.
2.
Install oil seal (Figure 2, Item 2) in front balance weight cover (Figure 2, Item 1).
a.
Place front balance weight cover (Figure 2, Item 1) on table of hand operated arbor press.
b.
Press oil seal (Figure 2, Item 2) into front balance weight cover (Figure 2, Item 1), seal lip facing
inward, until oil seal is flush with front edge of balance weight cover.
