Remove gasket (Figure 2, Item 2) and discard.

INSTALLATION
WARNING
Cleaning compound (MIL-PRF-29602) may cause irritation to the eyes or skin. Use in
well-ventilated areas and keep away from heat and open flame. Wear protective goggles
and clothing. In case compound comes in contact with:
Eyes, flush immediately with water.
Skin, wash with soap and water.
Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death.
1.
Using cleaner, clean engine (Figure 2, Item 3) and front balance weight cover (Figure 2, Item 1) of gasket
material.
2.
Install new gasket (Figure 2, Item 2) on engine (Figure 2, Item 3).
3.
Install front balance weight cover (Figure 2, Item 1) on engine (Figure 2, Item 3).

4.
Install bolt (Figure 1, Item 12), new lockwasher (Figure 1, Item 11), and washer (Figure 1, Item 10) into front
balance weight cover (Figure 1, Item 5).
5.
Install three bolts (Figure 1, Item 4) and new lockwashers (Figure 1, Item 3) into front balance weight cover
(Figure 1, Item 5).
6.
Install three nuts (Figure 1, Item 14) and new lockwashers (Figure 1, Item 13) on bolts (Figure 1, Item 4).
7.
Install bolt (Figure 1, Item 17), new lockwasher (Figure 1, Item 16), and washer (Figure 1, Item 15) into front
balance weight cover (Figure 1, Item 5).
