REMOVAL
1.
Remove hex nut (Figure 1, Item 1) and flat washer (Figure 1, Item 2) securing camshaft accessory drive
pulley (Figure 1, Item 3) to camshaft (Figure 1, Item 5).
2.
Attach puller to camshaft accessory drive pulley (Figure 1, Item 3).
3.
Remove camshaft accessory drive pulley (Figure 1, Item 3) from camshaft (Figure 1, Item 5). Discard
camshaft accessory drive pulley (Figure 1, Item 3).
4.
Remove woodruff key (Figure 1, Item 4) and discard.

INSTALLATION
WARNING
Accidental or intentional introduction of liquid contaminants into the environment
may result in a violation of state, federal, and military regulations. Refer to local
environmental office for information concerning storage, use, and disposal of
these liquids. Failure to comply may cause damage to environment and health
of personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of injury.
Fuel/solvent/oil is slippery and may cause falls. Wipe up spillage immediately with
rags. Dispose of materials in accordance with local hazardous waste disposal
procedures. Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death.
Oils and fluids are flammable and may cause irritation to the eyes or skin. Use in
well-ventilated areas and keep away from heat and open flame. Wear protective
goggles and clothing. In case oil or fluid comes in contact with:
Eyes, flush immediately with water.
Skin, wash with soap and water.
Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death.
1.
Coat camshaft (Figure 1, Item 5) and new woodruff key (Figure 1, Item 4) with engine lubricating oil.
2.
Using rubber mallet, tap new woodruff key (Figure 1, Item 4) into slot until seated on camshaft
(Figure 1, Item 5).
3.
Install new camshaft accessory drive pulley (Figure 1, Item 3) on camshaft (Figure 1, Item 5).
4.
Install hex nut (Figure 1, Item 1) and flat washer (Figure 1, Item 2) securing camshaft accessory drive pulley
(Figure 1, Item 3) to camshaft (Figure 1, Item 5).
5.
Using torque wrench, torque hex nut (Figure 1, Item 1) to 300 ft-lb (407 Nm).
