Fuel/solvent/oil is slippery and may cause falls. Wipe up spillage immediately with rags. Dispose of
materials in accordance with local hazardous waste disposal procedures. Failure to comply may
result in personnel injury or death and/or damage to equipment.
3.
Clean excess grease and oil from idler gear and hub assembly (3) with cleaner.
4. Place the idler gear and hub assembly (3) in an arbor press.

Support idler gear and hub assembly (3) with steel blocks provided with the arbor press.
WARNING
Keep hands, fingers and clothing away from idler gear moving parts.
Wear protective goggles. Failure to comply may result in personnel injury.
CAUTION
While removing and installing the hub, the idler gear and bearings must be rotated to prevent
damage to the bearings and bearing cups. Failure to comply could cause damage to equipment.
6.
Rotate gear (4) while pressing the hub (5) out of the idler gear bearing (6).
7.
Remove idler gear (4) from the arbor press.
