WARNING
Do not attempt to lift the engine with any less than a three point hook-up. Failure to comply
may result in personal injury, death, or damage to equipment.
NOTE
Use a sling and chain hoist to support the marine gear, and keep engine and marine gear
level during removal.

Using crane, place tension on slings to prevent engine from shifting off mounts during removal of mounting
bolts (Figure 14, Items 1 and 2). Remove hull mount shims (Figure 14, Item 10).

Remove eight bolts (Figure 14, Item 1) and nuts (Figure 14, Item 6) securing two marine gear mounting
brackets (Figure 14, Item 8) to two hull mounts (Figure 14, Item 7 and hull mount shims (Figure 14, Item 10).

Remove eight nuts (Figure 14, Item 4) and bolts (Figure 14, Item 2) securing two aft engine mounting
brackets (Figure 14, Item 3) to two aft hull mounts (Figure 14, Item 5) and aft engine mount shims
(Figure 14, Item 9)

Remove two nuts (Figure 15, Item 4) and bolts (Figure 15, Item 2), and 10 shims (Figure 15, Item 3)
securing forward engine mounting bracket (Figure 15, Item 1) to forward hull saddle mount
(Figure 15, Item 5).
