Remove 12 hex head capscrews (Figure 17, Item 3) and washers (Figure 17, Item 2) securing marine
gear (Figure 17, Item 1) to engine.
WARNING
Keep away from hanging loads, heavy parts, and overhead equipment. Never crawl
under equipment when performing maintenance unless equipment is securely
blocked. Use suitable lifting devices to move hanging loads and heavy parts.
Equipment may fall. Always use a helper to guide load. Failure to comply may result in
personnel injury or death.

Using crane and loop sling, remove marine gear (Figure 17, Item 1) from engine.
