Remove twine securing all mounting shims (Figure 15, Item 3) to forward hull saddle mount (Figure 15, Item
5) and marine gear hull mounts (Figure 14, Item 7).
WARNING
Keep away from hanging loads, heavy parts, and overhead equipment. Never crawl under
equipment when performing maintenance unless equipment is securely blocked. Use
suitable lifting devices to move hanging loads and heavy parts. Equipment may fall. Always
use a helper to guide load. Failure to comply may result in personnel injury or death.
NOTE
Use a sling and chain hoist to support marine gear and keep engine and marine gear level
during installation.

Using crane (Figure 19, Item 2), chain hoist (Figure 19, Item 1), three slings (Figure 19, Item 3) on engine,
and a sling (Figure 19, Item 5) on the marine gear (Figure 19, Item 4), lower engine with attached marine
gear (Figure 19, Item 4) into propulsion module and position on shims (Figure 21, Items 9 and 10) and hull
mounts (Figure 21, Items 5 and 7).

Install two bolts (Figure 20, Item 2) 10 shims (Figure 20, Item 3) and two nuts (Figure 20, Item 4) to secure
forward engine mounting bracket (Figure 20, Item 1) to forward hull saddle mount (Figure 20, Item 5) and
tighten nuts (Figure 20, Item 4).
