END OF TASK
INSPECTION
1.
Inspect metal tube assembly (Figure 1, Item 1) for cracking, dents or corrosion. Replace defective part.
2.
Inspect manifold (Figure 1, Item 2) threads for signs of galling, cracks or corrosion. Replace defective part.
3.
Inspect threaded cylinder head boss (Figure 1, Item 4) for signs of galling, cracks or corrosion. Replace
defective part.
END OF TASK
INSTALLATION
1.
Place flat washer (Figure 1, Item 3) and new nonmetallic seal (Figure 1, Item 5) on manifold
(Figure 1, Item 2).
2.
Install manifold (Figure 1, Item 2) in threaded cylinder head boss (Figure 1, Item 4) and tighten.
3.
Using torque wrench and socket set, torque manifold (Figure 1, Item 2) to 480 to 540 in-lb (54 to 61 N-m).
4.
Install metal tube assembly (Figure 1, Item 1).
5.
Using torque wrench and socket set, torque nuts to 120 in-lb (14 Nm).
