CLEANING
WARNING
Compound may cause irritation to eyes or skin. In case compound comes in contact with
eyes or skin, immediately flush eyes with water, wash skin with soap and water. Wear
protective goggles, gloves, and clothing. Failure to comply may result in personnel injury
or death.
1.
Using cleaning cloth and cleaning compound, clean debris from valve lock (Figure 1, Item 1), spring cap
(Figure 1, Item 2), valve spring (Figure 1, Item 3), spring seat (Figure 1, Item 4), and valve stem
(Figure 1, Item 5).
WARNING
Do not exceed 40 PSI (280 kPa) when using compressed air for drying components.
Failure to comply may result in serious injury to personnel.
2.
Dry all metal components using compressed air.
3.
Clean any carbon deposit from valve stems (Figure 1, Item 5) with wire brush and wash in cleaning
compound.
4.
Dry valve stems (Figure 1, Item 5) using compressed air.
