Remove bearings (Figure 7, Item 4), oil seals (Figure 7, Item 5). and ring collars (Figure 7, Item 6) from the
end plates (Figure 7, Item 2 and Figure 7, Item 3).

Support outer ends of end plates (Figure 7, Item 2 and Figure 7, Item 3) on two blocks of wood on
the bed of an arbor press.
b.
Place long end of the seal remover installer J 6270-3 (Figure 7, Item 1) down through the oil seal
(Figure 7, Item 5) or ring collar (Figure 7, Item 6) into bearings (Figure 7, Item 4).
c.
Lower ram of the arbor press and press out bearings (Figure 7, Item 4) and oil seal
(Figure 7, Item 5) or ring collar (Figure 7, Item 6) and discard.
d.
Remove remaining three bearings and oil seals in the same manner.
e.
Discard oil seal (Figure 7, Item 5) and ring collar (Figure 7, Item 6).
