f. With the part number on the seal facing up, start the new oil seal (Figure 12, Item 3) straight into the bore
of the end plate (Figure 7, Item 2 and Figure 7, Item 3).
g. Using installer (Figure 12, Item 1), press the double lip oil teflon oil seal into end plate
(Figure 7, Item 2 and Figure 7, Item 3) until the shoulder of the installer contacts the end plate.
h. Install the remaining oil seals (Figure 12, Item 3) in end plates (Figure 7, Item 2 and Figure 7,
Item 3) using the same steps.
3. Install the blower front end plate (Figure 13, Item 5).

NOTE
The front end plate is thinner than the rear end plate. The top of the front end plate it has two
bolt holes and only one oil hole.
a. If removed, press a new oil strainer (Figure 13, Item 2) in the vertical oil passage at the bottom side of
the end plate (Figure 13, Item 5) 0.15 in. below the bottom edge of the bottom surface.
b. Install pipe plug (Figure 13, Item 4) in the vertical oil passage at the top of the end plate
(Figure 13, Item 5).

Place blower housing (Figure 13, Item 3) on a bench with top side up and the front end facing out.
